El pasado simple
del verbo Ser o estar
Hoy estudiaremos el pasado simple del verbo “TO BE” “SER” o
“ESTAR”.
En presente el verbo “ TO BE” tiene 3 formas : AM – IS- ARE
El pasado simple del verbto “TO BE” tiene 2 formas : WAS –
WERE
Utilizamos WAS para los pronombres : I – HE – SHE –IT
Utilizamos WERE para los pronombres : YOU – WE –THEY
Veamos algunos ejemplos:
Present :I am a teacher
Past : I was a teacher
Present : He is in the park
Past : He was in the park
Present : You are an excellent student
Past : You were an excellent student
En negativo usaremos WASN’T o WEREN’T
Veamos algunos ejemplos:
Presen’t: I am not in the hospital
Past: I wasn’t in the hospital
Present : She isn’t at home
Past: She wasn’t at home
Present : We aren’t happy
Past : We weren’t happy
Para oraciones interrogativas cambiaremos la posición del
sujeto con el verbo to be
Veamos algunos ejemplos:
Present: Are you a singer?
Past: Were you a Singer?
Present: Is Mauro in the disco?
Past: Was Mauro in the disco?
Present : Are you in the park?
Past : Were you in the park?
