Conditional Sentences have two clauses: The Conditional
Clause or If clause and the Result clause
Oraciones condicionales tienen dos clausulas. La cláusula de
la condición o “la cláusula si” y la cláusula del resultado.
THE ZERO CONDITIONAL
The Structure is: The simple present tense
La estructura gramatical es : El tiempo presente simple.
Remember: You can replace “if” with “when” or “whenever”
Recuerda: Puedes reemplazar”si” con “cuando” o “cuando sea”.
The relationship is: If this thing happens, that thing
happens.
La relación es : Si esta cosa ocurre, esta otra cosa ocurre.
You can change the order of the clauses.
Puedes cambiar el orden de las clausulas.
We use the Zero conditional to talk about real actions.
Usamos el condicional de tipo cero para hablar sobre acciones reales
If it rains, flights are late.
Si llueve, los vuelos se atrazan.
Flights are late if it rains.
Los vuelos se atrasan si llueve.
In my Company if cashiers make a mistake, they repay the
money.
En mi compañía si los cajeros cometen un error, ellos
reponen el dinero.
Plants die if they don’t get enough water.
Las plantas se mueren, si ellas no tienen suficiente agua.
The zero conditional for imperatives:
If Jhon calls, tell him to meet me in the restaurant.
Si Jhon llama, dile que me encuentre en el restaurante.
Ask the teacher if you are not sure what to do.
Preguntale al profesor si no estás seguro que hacer.
If you want to come, call me before 5.
Si quieres venir, llamame antes de las 5
